(what i think is) a good idea

i was watching the 3rd LOtR movie last night, and i had an idea of how awesome it would be to take the whole christian bible, and make a movie of each book of the bible, all on blu-ray HD. it would be really cool because of all the special effects tech they have today. tell me what you think

 

The Book of John has been done several times over already. Not sure I would want to watch a movie on Leviticus.....just one animal being slaughtered after another, and the bodily emissions part would be TMI

 

well obviously there would be some cuts, but i think that most of the books would be really good redone in movie form if the company that made them didnt totally screw up

if this ever actually happened, though, i think that the main focus would be on the longer stories, not including the parts where the bible is just stating rules and stuff like that

IMO the book of revelation would make for a great movie

 

So Speculant, you would trust Hollywood or anyone else for that fact to make an accurate depiction? Hmm, who's depiction would you like to see?

 

i would like to see a depiction that encompassed the whole bible, stayed true to the bible, and didn't add a whole crapload of action scenes (it had just enough of everything)

I think that a movie series like this would lead more people to the christian religion

I just loved the version done by mel gibson in the Passion of Christ

 

The Passion of the Christ was okay, but I think that it would've been a lot better without subtitles and everyone speaking in a different language.

 

The idea was also that the screening was available to everyone to ensure everyone got to hear the Message, hence the accessibility of subtitles. If everyone spoke ina different language you would have needed multiple subtitles and you already stated you wished they didn't even have one set
