What is a hotkey

This comes up when I try to capture a screenshot, PLUS it appeared on shots in my documents that had alresdtbeen taken but did not show up before

 

A hot key is a key that has a command attached to it and it performs certin operations, instead of clicking the mouse on a button. But as far as solving your problem I have no idea.

 

I certainly appreciate your coming to explain but if you don't know how to fix it I'm stuck. When someone answers no one else will cut in to answer the question but thank you, really, now get help, :cry

 

It should work like that Darlene but it doesn't. Anyway I downloaded that app and took a look at it. What key are you using to capture your shots?

 

Most of the time my print screen button, then open paint.
This one crops smaller parts or the whole screen and it does it Jpg where the other sometime is bmp, I'm not saying that right I know.
This is Screenhunter, never seen this before.

 

The "Hot Key" for Screen Hunter is usually F6 Darlene, you probable have another program that uses F12 try changing it to F6 and see what happens.......By the way there is a SreenHunter 5.0 FREE available now from the same people you might want to download, you have to delete your Old version before you Install the new one......Think you'll like the changes, I did

Could the folding be interfering? having all kinds of errors last couple days.

No Ididn't, I did see on my screen where 1 was complete, so it's working thats good.

 

Musksnipe - here the site to that program it's cool cuz you can crop a section rather then a whole page. I got the free on of course. I'll bet the folding had something to do with what number I had it on, changed it according to BC works fine now. Thank you again too

Thanks Darlene...I have already done that and I am playing with it right now. I have always wondered why folks used an app like this. It does save a little time though for certain screen shoots
