what is- amd xp/xp64 bit ahci/raid driver disk

    i've just installed a new m4a88td-v evo/usb3 asus motherboard. everything seems fine. a can access all bios. but when i exit bios i get "welcome to asus motherboard make disk for dos menu. it's not in the manual,and i can't get around it.what is it, and do i need it.

    Make sure any CDs/DVDs are not in the optical drive, and set your boot order to 'Hard Drive First'.

    Yeah - it sounds to me like your motherboard driver CD is in the drive. Many motherboard driver discs are bootable (esp Asus) so that a floppy disk containing the SATA drivers can be built. If you try to install Win2000/XP to a brand new non-partitioned non-formatted SATA hard drive, you'll need the infamous "F6" floppy disk. Booting to the driver CD supplied with the motherboard allows you do to this easily, provided you have a floppy drive. However, since most PCs do not have floppy drives anymore, I typically use a bootable partition tool to set up and format new SATA drives before installing XP to 'em. 97% of the time, if a SATA drive is already partitioned and formatted, WinXP will recognize the drive w/o any problems....
