what is PCI Express 2.0???

i remember 2 years ago i had agp 8x and boy let me tell u it was okay but when my friend bought his pc, lol it had pci 16x so twice as fast. Im wondering if by next year is pci 16x is gonna be crap?

Im gonna get the 680i sli motherboard tht holds 32x pcie sli, where in the past it was 8x 8x so u didnt get full power on ur video cards.now u can max both cards out on gamez.

can someone tell me bout PCI Express 2.0 is this the way of the future? well yeah i know the future, but is it gonna kill pci 16x so much? or since i have 32x sli ill be okay for a good 3 years?basically i have no clue what PCI Express 2.0 is and how fast it is.
