   To fill in other readers about DAP. It is Download Accelerator Plus 8.7.0.5 from http://www.majorgeeks.com/Download_Accelerator_Plus_d448.html
   

   My note: You'd have to have had a pretty bad set of download defaults to see an "up to 300 percent" improvement. Also it is listed as Adware. I haven't used it for years.
