    Yes it can make quite a bit of difference. Generally, people go with an AMD processor if they are into gaming etc, but others will go for an intel if they are just doing everyday browsing, and the high spec intels are for power users and servers.

    NO Gaming or YES Gaming?

    If you give us an idea what you will use the new PC for then we will be able to aim you in the right direction as to which CPU would be best, then that leads to which motherboard would be best etc

    I had a computer wit an AMD duron processor and it did me nothing but trouble... I had a mother board with the sis 730s chipset. GO WITH INTEL Pentium 4, I personally like the 478 ones the most, but lga 775 is pretty good.

    Exusme, But how I would now if my current MOBO is Socket 478 or Socket T LGA 775 ?

    and also same thing about bus speed FSB, How I would now that I using a prossesser with bus speed of 400MHz or 533MHz or 800MHz or 1066MHz ?

    Is there a software of any thing?

    Oversoft CPU Informer is a great little app. (AKA osci) cant rember were I got it, Intel I think. It will answer the queries you have and more! Look at pic.
