What is This...??

Hi all, great to have a site with Answers.

While looking at system config uitilty i came across this item that was never their before in start up tab,(%systemroot\system32\dumprep 0 -k)
is this spy ware or malware..

i did search here,and didnt come up with a match all where with u on the end of the string.

Please forgive, this on win Xp pro.
after all i'm only a Private E-2 but hope to get better Srg.

No it is not malware! It is part of your OS and a search on Google or any other search site will give you hundreds of hits.

Name: dumprep 0 -k or dumprep 0 -u

Used in connection with memory dumps - you can disable these by - right clicking on My Computer, selecting Properties and then the Advanced tab. Click on the Settings button in 'Startup and Recovery'. In the bottom pane - under 'Write debugging information' - click on the down arrow and then select 'None' - OK your way out
