What is this?

This is mostly curiousity,not a problem.
When I click on Major Geeks Support Forums at the top of the page and look at the list of currently active members, some( TeeCee, bigtrucks) have a + sign after their names and nobody else does.
Is there any special significance to that?And what is it representing?

OK, the + sign means that user is on your contact list All is well with the world again!

The plus sign after a name indicates that they are your friend!

No, I think that they have to be online to have the + sign..

Your buddies that are logged in, should have that sign..

 

JOTS didn't earlier when he was online.

 

Maybe the forum thinks your really not friends. :-D

 

As stated, it just had me curious.

OK, curiosity will get ya hrlow2! I just logged out, and my + sign should have been gone.. Next time, click on Quick Links, and scroll down to who's online. It shows the + signs a lot better.

 

I too noticed that JOTS didn't have a plus when he was on. That's strange.:confused

 

I didn't notice that, but I will from now on... Maybe it is a gender thing, BT. Us gals deserve the + ! :-D

Yep, a (+) after the user name means he/she is on your friends list. if you're not logged in, then the board won't know your there to say who is your friend and who isn't.

 

On another forum that uses vBulletin, it means the user in question is a "buddy."

 

Joey can rest easy. He does have a +.

Honestly, it's a proximity thing. We have a thing in this country of being rude to people in neighbouring towns and cities. It's a rivalry thing, but mostly in good fun.
