    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Every anitvirus and antispyware software vendor has a habit of using their own very vague naming conventions and very frequently they give no information/description of what it is that they are detecting. Sometimes all you get is a description like generic trojan or trojan downloader. If you gave us a log showing exactly what Avast found and where it found it, we may be able to give more info. Will only the name you gave, my best guess is that it may be something in the Vundo (aka Virtumonde) family. If was a form of Vundo, you probably are not clean and should consider running our cleaning procedure. See: READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
