    Hi,
I normally use www.Virustotal.com before running any download and installing it, and its showed me a trojan in Da Vinci Resolve 14 (641.2Mb) from the Blackmagic site.
    detected by Jiangmin Trojan.MSIL.gktn
No others detected it. see attached image. the others include avast, avg etc, so is this true ?

    https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/davinci-resolve-and-fusion

    left hand column...scroll down.

If I right click scan with Kaspersky Internet Security 2020 its clean. I have found that the VirusTotal site finds malware that KIS doesnt, but KIS is not a malware scanner, if it is, its no good at it.
I download Da Vinci Resolve 15, upload to www.VirusTotal.com but the site says its over the upload limit, being 942.5Mb

How do I check it out now ?

I see avast is a trojan scanner par excellence, but from what I see you dont install that if you have KIS on a PC, and anyway Avast declared it clean on VirusTotal.
I dont know what to believe but dare not install with the word trojan in red staring at me.

I need to upload my 942Mb file to an online trojan etc checker, I google an article 10 best and none of them even get near VirusTotal regards size limit,

now what do I do ?

(dont suggest v 17, I need v14 or v15, no higher, cant contact Blackmagic as they dont support V14 or 15 anymore)

Surely there is a bug checker that works with exe files for serious progs, which can be near 1Gb in size.

Otherwise is there one that can be installed, doesnt screw up KIS or my PC ( messing with anti virus and such progs is a recipe for hell on earth, and I can use just to scan a download if I right click the file and choose the prog to scan it ?

I have posted here as the malware part of the forum seems to be about fixing a problem.

    Really?
Look at the clean results from the reputable scanners. Not some piece of cr@p.

BTW What file did you upload?

How did you upload a 641.2MB file to VirusTotal?

So in all the years that Da Vinci Resolve 14 has been out, surely if it was infected the majority of AV engines would detect it. Jiangmin AV is prone to false positives and should be ignored.

    Hi,
    Thanks, considering it now safe.
If only one engine spots anything with Virustotal having many there it is a bit odd, ignore one is the new rule.
