What Should I Do to My Work Laptop Before I Leave My Job?

    My note: If it applied to me. I'd probably just remove the hard drive, real easy in a laptop, and replace it with a new, blank, one.

    Can't get any safer than that. ;)

    Replacing the drive may be legit in your mind, but as an it guy, if i found that you as an employee had done anything to a company issues laptop, then there would result in docked money from the final paycheck, loose of benefits or severance packages. Honestly, people should just not use work machines for personal use. Or be prepared to have anything viewed by an it guy at that business.
