What the heck is this error?

This error message periodically pops up on the screen of a Dell laptop:

    514: qttask.exe - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR3

You can choose from Cancel, Try Again or Continue. Whatever you choose, you have to click it, the message pops up again, you click it again, then it goes away. This happens every time the computer starts up or just randomly sometimes too.

    Windows 2000 Professional
    Dell Latitude
    Microsoft Office XP

    Any clue?

Try this just to test somethink out.... its safe BTW.

Do you have QuickTime installed and if so start quicktime ( you may see that error again you may not ) then once running choose File > Open Recent > Clear Menu

and hopefully the message will now not show, what can happen is if a quicktime movie or file was run from a CD or Removable Media it is still listed in the recently used list so QT thinks....

Thanks! I think it may actually have QuickTime on it. I'll check it out on Monday when I can get to that computer again. I appreciate the help.

Thanks for leading me there. The exact suggestion didn't work, so I just uninstalled it. The computer user has no use for QuickTime, so no big deal. Thanks a lot!
