I have been having some issues with my video card and am stumped!! On some games It will have lines on the screen and some of the scenery is multi colored or it will freeze up all together. I have sent the card back 3 TIMES to BFG and each time they send me a new card but the problem still exsits. I have replaced the motherboard, processor, memory, power supply. The games all seem to work good with an old 5700 gainward card. Any ideas on where to turn next

Tough one to call, could it be overheating? Check the air flow through the case and be sure the card can cool itself. You might try setting the computer on the desk with the side removed and a fan blowing into it. If this works at least you have a starting point.

Can you try the card in another computer?

What power supply do you have? I run PC Power & Cooling bacause the test the best on my scope and would put a 512 in that rig (a bit of overkill).

You might try going thru your bios and checking anything to do with video. Like turning off any video shadowing or making sure the first video device is set to AGP not PCI. You can also try holding the CTRL key during boot, its a standard overclockers trick to reset all graphics settings to default. Its used to fix "not able to boot" after clocking too high but is also good for resetting the graphics for any related problems.

Really go thru the bios one line at a time, and look carefully for anything you think might help. But its best to try one thing at a time and then put it back so you don't change 25 things and then forget what you changed. At least make a list of changes you make so you can put them back if theres more trouble.

Your card probably has its own power connection to help keep it stable, try using another power connector on it. I once used a splitter to reach the card and later realized I had connected the splitter to one of those fan only 4 pin molex connectors that have only two wires. Needless to say I had video problems.
