any card that is PCI-E x16 will fit fine. Just make sure you have the room in your case for a new card. The larger 8 series cards are BIG. I bought an Evga 8800 GTX and almost fell off my chair when I pulled it out of the box, it's huge! And make sure your PSU has the correct connectors for the new card you will buy. You can get adapters for power cables. Most new cards take two 6 pin power connectors, some really high end take a 6 pin and an 8 pin. Your processor will bottle neck your graphics card, that proc is SLOW! What is your budget? That's the real question. I recommend this card, with the other hardware you have, this will work good for you. It's a low end card by today's standards, but it will leave your on-board card in the dust, and it's a good price. My brother in law uses this card and plays all kinds of games.

Thank you for your recommendation. Our budget is up to $200, because we just need it so my husband can run his computer games on it. He has a few that the on board will not play. But when I got the system it was just for me, and since I dont game I didnt need anything much. We have a mid sized case.
