What's a good RPG game?

I guess it depends on what you want. So you want PC, a gaming platform, or tabletop? Prehaps live-action? Pick your poision, and I can probably reccomend at least one for your
pick(s).

I did.

There were two actually. The first one was pretty fun, but by the time the second one came out the game engine (kind of a early BioWare Infinity engine) was too far behind to be worthwhile. I couldn't get into it anymore.

It was all about the Half-Giant Fighter/Psionicists, though.

 

yes.. I played the 2nd one and beat it.. I had to because the first Dark Sun was a classic. The 2nd one was not as good. That was a great game.. that was the last game that I actually got addicted to. Stayed up nights just to play... crazy. I wish they would brin gthis game back.

 

@ Darkside. Anything on any system. I will take suggestions for any game system and PC. You name it and I will seek it out.

Right now I'm playing Zelda: Ocarina of time for N64. Never played it before until now. I'm not a fan of 3D action in RPG's. I don't know why. I'm gettin used to it though. I think the best RPG's are like the Dragon Warrior series for Nintendo. 2D with hit points and commands for my guys to follow.

Anyway, getting off topic a bit.

@ Immaculate. Tell me more about Dark Sun. You've got my attention by saying that it's the best RPG ever. What system is it for? Is it a PC game?

Thanks Immaculate. I went to the link but I don't want to buy it from that site. Do you think it's possible to find it in a store somewhere? The price leads me to believe that it might be an old game and that might be hard to find.

Oh, also, can anyone suggest any RPG or adventure games specifically for 8-bit Nintendo? I have Final Fantasy and the Dragon Warrior Series.

neverwinter nights is of course amazing, but i personally love all the baldurs gate series, planescape tourment and temple of elemental evil, also ice wind dale, all its expansions and icewind dale two

I was wonderin also if any of u guys could help me, recently ive started playing my games as usual (my comps got all the trimmings FX card, gd processor etc) but they dont load up! There is a pictue of a spinning disk, then a black screen with a loading hourglass,...then nothing, ever, its getting on my nerves, ive tried some stuff but it doesnt seem to help...whots a geek gotta du to play his games arrg?!

any suggestions gratfully accepted - even obvious ones coz im a bit of a rookie

Hi,

you should probably make a new thread about that so you can get the help you need. If its happenening on all your games, it should probably go in the software forum. when you post, be sure to include your system specs in detail (not just FX vid card and good processor... the more we know, the better we can help). Include your operating system, very important.

also, try to remember if you had installed anything or made any changes prior to the problem.

I'm sure you'll be helped if you ask somewhere where we know to look

Well I am really going to go with final fantasy! especially the new one FF10 2 very good game. I think that I am overly addictied to final fantasy though cause whaen 8 came out I ended up quiting my job and was living off a credit card for a few months just to play that game!!!! well wont do that again lol.
