Whats better Norton I.S. or Free Spybot?

Hello I was wondering if someone can help me.
I have Norton 2008 anti-virus and Spybot-Search & Destroy 1.6.1
I just Purchased Norton Internet Security 2008. That I have`nt installed yet. I wanted to delete Spybot Seach & Destroy 1.6.1 and Install the new Norton Internet Security 2008 because Norton will upgrade it to 2009.
Ok my question is do you think the Spybot S & D is any better then the Norton Internet Security 2009 with its spyware protection ? Or can I still use Spybot S & D at the same time or will that mess something up ? I Just want to do the right thing, so that I dont get any malware or spyware.:confused

If you are going to use NIS with spyware protection then just DO NOT use Spybot's Teatimer. Use it like suggested in the READ & RUN ME and like in the below:
