Just wanted to drop in and say hello. Work is killing me, not enough hours in the days anymore. Came home the other night and the boys pulled the tub spout out of the wall. Normally thats not a big deal. You go down to home depot get a new one and tighten on with an allen wrench. Well, not so easy this time as the little copper lead pipe came with it. Ugh...

I'll be calling a plumber this weekend. What are you folks up to?

 

I came home from work and was startled to find out everything I had was stolen and replaced with an exact duplicate.

Chris and I are just being lazy tonight. We're both really tired so will probably turn in early. Suppose to be in the 80's this weekend so a nice long beach walk is planned...other than that..a lazy weekend

I've got a plumber here in the morning. I'm doing a basement bathroom renovation and my shower drain is full of dirt. Real dirt and roots. Nothing smelly. He's bringing a "sewer cam" to see if I have to jackhammer.

 

"Sewer cam" sounds like something that would be useful in Washington.

Got the wall cut away, looks like no dry rot at all. Discoloration in the bathroom floor looks like its from the toilet, woohoo. Plumber coming tomorrow evening to fix the tub pipe thingy. Gonna get him to check water heater and hookup instant hot water and extra filtered water thingy at the sink. Cause I ain't messing with it lol.

To top it off looks like my Sony SFII 17" monitor bit the dust this morning. Had the thing for over 10yrs, paid 899 for it. Looking at Samsung 204b 20" as a replacement. 800:1 contrast, 5ms refresh, 160 viewable angle. Hope it works ok with my MSI Ti 4200 128mb card LOL. Its only 500 bucks at bestbuy.

 

Bro, I have been up at 4am everyday for at least a week or more now. Been practicing with the virtual rack thing in Native Instruments Guitar Rig. There is nothing like gettng in 30mins to an hour of playing before the day starts. I gotta get my monitor replaced so I can keep jammin'. I could just pick up the guitar and play but its not the same as a '68 jumpered plexi loaded up with every effect you can imagine lol!!

 

Ti 4200 - mmm, I loved that card. Then one day it just stopped working. Booooo. Had to get a crapy FX 5200 LE to replace it because I had no money. This card is rubbish - it has no charachter and it doesn't overclock at ALL. Add to that the fact my old SBLive! doesn't seem to work any more, my computational situation is a bit crap really.

I have however fixed the light fitting in my ceiling which was hanging loose for the last 4 or so years. It still looks crap and has paint all over it from the ceiling, but at least it's not hanging at an odd angle.

hard to say. mobo get green light, fans spinning, hd sounds like its firing up....no video. Swaped out agp cards, still no signal....pulled vid card out waiting for beep code from mobo, no beep. I think the mobo went boom. Pulled out all the sales adds in the paper...time to shop for a new box. Don't think Im gonna build from scratch this time. Think I may get a dell or something with a warranty. would be nice to have a smaller system with flatscreen. As long as it will handle occasional gaming and recording(guitar)

Now taking suggestions for new system. Ugh. Need to keep it on the low side ....oh man....just what I need....and entire weekend working on cpu's . Not like i don't get enough of that during the week.

 

Heh, well personally I would love that but im only 15 and have nothing better to do. Anyway good luck in getting yourself a new system and hope everything runs smoothly
