I haven't been on here for awhile mainly been busy with games and have school starting up again. Senior year I bet some people remember my freshmen post Awhile ago lol

Unfortunately I wont be able to graduate this year and will have to do another half year to makeup credits.

My dad still is having back issues and is the same as last time.

    Alright enough negative

Taking a graphics design class at school so I can learn how to use Photoshop correctly.

    Whats new with you?

Good to see you back. Look forward to getting to know you.

I have done three of these over the years, and they are worth there weight in gold, or paint. So good luck with the courses, you will at the start depending on the level the course is aimed at get the basics to start with and this will get you way past what many users on the internet who have Photoshop will be at (its an app that many like to brag about having, without really and honestly knowing how to use it fully*)

Once you get past the basics and into intermediate its a fantasic app to use, too powerful for everyday image editing and other apps do this type of thing easier and quicker, but for the multi layers and other options its fantasic.

*I even doing courses on it I only know about 50% of what it can do, its that powerful, Adobe Lightroom is one to touch on if you can, for a digital darkroom app its superb and I use this more than PS.

    Wow where I start.

    PC stuff
    • Usual PC issues support thingy and beta testing stuffs on forums and on MS Connect and MS MVP stuff as well
    • Installing and playing with a few new apps
    • Writing a few guides, but this going slow
    • Starting back blogging a bit more
    • Posting news as much as I can on Pedaltothemetal motoring news site

    Home stuff
    • Messing around with Powerline networking and networked my internet ready LED TV to my main desktop and a netbook, as well as it having streaming internet TV from BBC iPlayer
    • Trying to dump as much junk from the house, shredding liek a daemon
    • Still looking for an apt in the city (me lazy and want to walk to work, but been doing this for 3yrs)
    • Just bought a new iPod Touch today (will arrive in a few days) as old ones home button just died.... at least via work we get Apple Employee Discount on Apple stuff, so just saved £25 on a 32GB Touch with free delivery.

    Work stuff
    • In last year of one project on a drug if proved to work better than another or at least equally that could save the UK NHS multiple millions per year
    • Starting one new project and have two others in the pipeline to come likely next year
    • Assesment clinic I help run, doing much better with referrals now coming in more, this is a new project to get patients with a specific eye disease into the system quicker, as well as saving the health service money in not doing tests that are not needed.
    • Rectifying this week and for next few an issue with some image data, going to take longer than thought, plus double checking a new protocol to exporting medical images at the same time, have to as I co-wrote it.
    • Need to get some interesting cases together as maybe training some new docs on the eye disease I deal with
    • Getting some new PCs installed with all medical image viewing software and networked
    • Few other odds and sods projects and tasks going on

oh and maybe eat, drink and sleep sometime in all of that.

I am still couch testing. But I have added going to the physical therapy pool daily which is helping quite a bit.

My next project is to talk the kid into changing her own damn oil in her truck!! LOL

Maybe able to shoehorn a hobby into that lot somewhere ;)

Spent all day with the task of rectifying some image exports, had a suddern abrupt halt when I noticed the network HDD space start going down to sub 1GB.... ooops! so had to FTP a few GBs of data to free up space before tomorrow.

Couch testing now there sounds a great hobby I could try.

How is she with car mechanics and stuffs and is the military still on the cards?
Sounds good Fred, so in deer season are you limited to how many you can get?

Sorry about your dad's back. :(

What are they teaching you about Photoshop? I love working with it. I learn something pretty much every time I go on.

Couch testing is a very noble profession!! LOL

The daughter knows how to do it, she's just too lazy to do it. She was complaining about the way her truck was running, but it was all because she had one tire almost flat, low power steering fluid and she also needed so brake fluid. So I will keep the truck and she can drive mine, which she hates, until I get around to doing the deferred maintenance!!

Military is still in the works, she is having a hard time gathering all the medical records for them, as they want things from 10 to 15 years ago. Plan is still to enlist by February. Thanks for asking, Dave.

Not sure Halo. I am sure there is a daily limit and most likely a yearly limit. Been a while since I hunted. Will have to pick up the regulations when I get my license.

Other than that it's the same old trudge through life..... but the heat is gone, we are now averaging 25-30C yay! :-D

It sounds like a profession I need to get into ;)

Get the wrenches out this weekend and get her all oiled up!!! Great on the military and hope the medicals are all ok, sounds like a great area she wants to get into.

Next question is how many other hunters can you take out ;)

ahhhhh HA, Emelda Macros of Majorgeeks has awoken, I'm sure you can sense from 1 mile that someones mentioned shoes or you can smell the leather :p

    Nice.
    High Quality gag there motc7 :-D .... AND a double whammy :-D

Just curious, how long did you ponder that? :p

Oh and I found out today, Magnum Boots/Shoes, the ones a lot of EMS use and supplied to State Troopers are not only owned and made by Hi-Tec (a British company) but were also the boot the crew of Red Dwarf wore in Series 8 :strong

I have so much useless trivia lol

"Next question is how many other hunters can you take out" Lol Halo. I have not hunted in a long time, but I think the idea is to shoot the deer. :-D And I would probably limit myself to one, maybe 2 deer a year. I can only eat or give away so much meat. I am not a trophy hunter.

3-4 hunters a year might be OK too. :-D Can I pick the 'hunters'? ;)

Ah I see, only kill what you can likely eat or at least give away to family and friends.

Yeah you can pick the hunters, those with no orange jackets are fair game.

  19. Wenchie

    Wenchie I R teh brat

I like Halo's bulleted OCD format, so I'm so stealing it.

    PC Life

    Real Life
    • Still no job, stay at home with the kids
    • Kids are now 10, 1.5, and due in October
    • The Wenchie parasite is already 5lbs, but isn't due for 2 mos. I may, in fact, explode.
    • Having my gall bladder out and my tubes tied at that point, because neither one is doing me any good!!!!
    • Roomate finally has a job, so have a little money now and can pay some bills

That's about it. Never leaving the house kind of limits the things you have going on in your life.
