Whats the Deal on DX 9.0a

I downloaded this update off MS site and now its been pulled. I have not run into any problems, but wonder what the reason for pulling it was??? Version 8.0a was for win 95,98 and me and 9.0a did not specify an OS??????

it appears that MS has made a mistake by releasing it a bit too early perhaps. I installed it and have had no problems. I just have to test things only 4 files were updated/changed.

I installed it and had to restore from a backup.. YUCH..

DXDIAG said I had no direct3d available and my screens looked like CR$P

Oh well...

I'll wait!!

Directx 9.0a is back on MS site..

yep.seems it had some problems with the ati cat 3.1 drivers. they fixed something in one file

Maybe that was it... I'll try again tommorrow... after another full backup!!
