    Hi,

I was wondering when a computer is no longer the same computer? I'm talking about desktop computers here. I'm talking about making upgrades to them. At what point do you make so many upgrades that the computer can no longer be considered the same computer and it is now a new computer? So far I've upgarded my GPU, PSU, Optical drives, ethernet card, hard drive, and RAM. It's starting to become less and less the computer of old. Can this be considered a new computer? Just imagine if I upgraded the motherboard and processor? So, at what point do you all believe you've made too many upgrades that your computer can no longer be considered the same computer?

    Sincerely,
    James

It's only new if you change the motherboard to allow newer/faster parts. IMO

What does Microsoft judge by when you have to re-activate? They seem to have a way of knowing when something has been changed.
