The bus one is my favorite one.

 

Incredible, even watching it on dialup. I have bookmarked it to watch on a friends broadband. I'd hate to be the passengers in the back of the articulated bus.

Most of the prangs appear to be single vehicles spearing off the traffic lanes into the tunnel walls for no apparent reason. I wonder if the Russians have random breath testing for drunken drivers? The truck smashes are unreal, too. Bazza

I was thinking it was ice too, but also it could be the Vodka.

 

also, can anyone explain the accident at 58 seconds into the video? Where did the second truck come from?

That's really odd.... there must be something that is causing problems with grip - maybe there was an oil spillage or something else on the road before going into the tunnel?

 

Yikes . . . maybe they all took driving lessons from my x-wife . . .

 

It's a underground Tunnel and there is water seeping up from the ground creating black ice.

 

That'll do it.
The West Coast of New Zealand is famous for its' black ice, in Winter.
Makes driving a helluva lot more interesting. Bazza
