Using Win 8.1 Pro, Excede (WildBlue) satelite, and Windows Live Mail. Whenever I run Advanced Care to clean the computer I lose all data associated with the e-mail. That indicates the downloaded structures for the e-mail account and the downloaded messages are deleted from my computer. I then have to reload the e-mail structure (folders) and the download all the messages still current on the ISP.

I hope somebody can point me to the location on my hard drive where that data is stored.

Thank you very much and have a happy and prosperous new year.

The obvious answer is don't run Advanced System Care - personally I wouldn't. The less obvious answer is to use an IMAP account rather than a POP3 account. With an IMAP account your mail stays on the server, with a POP3 account it is removed from the server and stored on your computer. A cleaner like ASC can't delete your mail if it's on the server but there is another advantage from using IMAP - your mail can be read on multiple devices - phones, tablets etc as well as on your PC.
