Where Can I Find AVG FREE EDITION v7.5.552?

My sister lives further than half a world away in my country. & I gave her AVG Free a long time ago. Come to think of it years ago! I believe I had given her [version 7.something] at the time.

Her AVG somehow became corrupt and wouldn't update anymore. It would say "UPDATE UNSUCCESSFUL" when she'd try to update. So I researched the problem on the web and the solution seems to be to uninstall and reinstall. Problem is AVG is only being distributed and sold with v8 by GRISOFT now and it also isn't so stable for many people. So I'm trying to get my hands on the old version which isn't available from their official site anymore.

But theres so many websites that might have fake copies so I don't think I'm capable of finding it myself. I actually rather have one of you experts help me out and tell me if you know where I can find a legit copy.

I currently run AVG FREE Version 7.5.552 on my system without problems to this very day.

SO IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE A LEGIT CLEAN AND NOT FAKE VIRUS COPY OF AVG FREE Version 7.5.552 EXISTS, LET ME KNOW SO I CAN GET IT FOR MY SISTER ASAP!!!

Keep in mind, that according to AVG, there will be no further support of v 7.5 by the end of February 2009.

I'm not an expert, but I understand that by checking this string of numbers, you can ensure that the file hasn't been damaged, corrupted, or tampered with in some way. It's a good idea to check for yourself, since this file hippo site is, of course, not the original AVG site. I think it's OK, but if anyone here knows anything different, please speak up.

I used 7.5.524 myself on 2 computers before I upgraded to version 8 and things are going fine. Last summer, I had a problem with version 8 snagging my outgoing mail so I turned off the outgoing mail scanner for a while. Then they updated their program, so I tried enabling the outgoing e-mail scanner again. The problem I was having went away without my having to take any further action.

I'm not really brave when it comes to adding software to my computers, but AVG free 8 has been behaving itself thus far. It had issues for some people when it first came out, but I think a lot of the problems have been solved. And AVG is only going to continue updating 7.5 until the end of this coming February, so they say. (Yes, we've heard their dates before, but this time they might really mean it! )

I believe avg 7.5 is no longer being supported by grisoft and has been replaced by v8.I myself have always use avg free and find the new version that combines the antispyware scan no problem and of benefit to me as i no londer need to have two separate programs.
There are still a couple of other antivirus programs around that you can replace avg free with if you don't feel the new version is to your liking like avast or commodo.but if you really want to stick with avg 7.5 you can download version 7.5.554 from here " http://www.filehippo.com/download_avg_antivirus/4029/ ". but like i said it will no l;onger be supported and you won't be able to download updates soon.
