I don't have money to by new smartphone.

Where can I buy old LG phone or Samsung phone that is two or three years old?

Can you still get old Adroid phone that is two or three years old.

Does Samsung still make these older phones.

As far as I know , you still have to sign on to a phone company to make it work. 60$ a month?

Not all plans are $60 month. Not all new Samsung phones cost several hundred dollars.

Last year, I decided I finally needed to get a smartphone - my first. (At 70 years old, I didn't want to spend a lot of money). Our dumb phone plans thru VirginMobile are $80/year and the coverage in our area is good.

VirginMobile, at that time, had android phones. They have since moved to all iPhones but still support what you own, including a very old flip phone that was mine and now my husband uses.

I got a new Samsung J3 Emerge (Sprint network is what VM uses) for $79.99 at Best Buy. My $35/month plan includes unlimited talk, text and 5GB of data. There are no overage charges. If I go over the 5GB allotment, the data speed drops to 2G. There is also no hotspot usage. If I wanted to share my cell data by connecting to a computer, it costs :
    - $5 pack that includes 1GB 30-day Mobile Hotspot.
    - $10 pack that includes 2GB 30-day Mobile Hotspot

Since I don't need a hotspot and don't come close to using 5GB a month, it was a good fit for me but might not be for someone who does all internet on a phone.

If you don't reside in the US, I'm sure someone living in a different country can advise a good phone and a budget plan.

Samsung's high price phones are the Galaxy S line. The cheaper phones are the J line. So you might be able to get a new phone cheaper than an older one.

Is there any way to get Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 edge as both of these phones are two years old coming out in 2016.

Only other thing that is lower than that is to look for the Samsung Galaxy S6 or Samsung S6 Galaxy Edge. Both of those are three years old coming out in 2015

These phones are old so the price should come way down.

Only other think is to look for the Samsung Galaxy S5 as that is 4 years old so should be even cheaper.

If you buy an unlock phone than sign up to a cheap carrier with cheap plan.

You buy the phone not go through the cell phone carrier. As the cell phone carriers don't sale phones more than two years old.

You've been given several resources already in this thread, why not try one of them instead of asking again? Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, sometimes local repair/independent phone shops have older models (usually refurbished) for sale. A simple Google search tells me you can get an unlocked Galaxy S7 on Amazon right now.

I usually go with eBay for used phones. Have purchased two that way, and had no issues with either.

With eBay, I always check the stats of the seller . . . make sure they are an established eBay seller (longer a member better it is) and have good feedback.. Never buy any product from a seller that does not accept returns, and I usually go with sellers that have a 30 day return policy.

Research the type of phone you want. Make sure it is compatible with your current carrier or the carrier you wish to use. I'm a fan of Straight Talk, but I'm not sure what areas it is available in.

How long does Samsung normally keep production going before they stop? A year or two years?

I don't think Samsung makes the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 edge any more.

What normally is rate Samsung keep production going before they stop? A year or two years?

Are these phones new or used normally?

How much would high in Samsung phone drop in price over two or three year time?

Dude... how am I supposed to know any better than you are? I'm not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse or if you really are less than intelligent. My first impulse when I read your original post was you were spamming or trolling, and you're not really helping change that impression.

Once you get a phone, you can get Consumer Cellular and one of their sim cards. You have plenty of suggestions. Just make up your mind. This thread is about done.

You can get new phones on eBay also . . . but used phones are most prevalent. I thought you wanted a used phone for monetary reasons?

As for as your other question . . . Google is your friend. Google the particular phone you want or non-specific phones with the features you want. I'd be more interested in user feedback for a particular device, coupled with how much it is.

If money is a constraint, you will have to choose a phone that has as many of the the features you want that is still within your budget. No one can do that for you.

It just post number two Eldon said no.

That is why I asked if they just make it for a year or two years than stop. That is why I ask how much high end phone drop in price over two or three years time.

Beause if it hardly drops in price than Samsung S phone is out of the question as it will not matter if the phone is two or three years old.

All the cell phone carriers in my area seem to only have cell phones no more than two years old.

This is where I think they must stop production and only keep production going for a year or two. As the cell phone carriers don't seem to have cell phones more than two years old.

But if the price hardly drops in two or three years than it will not matter. And if that the case than the Samsung S phones are out of the question.

StraightTalk has on their website older phones for free if you buy as little as a 10$ service plan (500mb) and some better with a higher plan. Very little money needed to get a phone and plan ready to use.

Why don't you just look on Amazon and eBay for a phone that suits your budget?

Tried your local "Opportunity" shop (like St Vincent de Paul's or the Salvation Army)?

Friend and I were visiting the local street markets last weekend and on the same strip of street there's one of those shops. Friend was looking for some books and while walking through the shop there was a great variety of goods available at minimum cost (e.g. household appliances, clothing, furniture) - there was even a section where everything was seeling (including all books) for $2.00.

While there, I also spotted phones at one of the counters...don't know where you're located, but these sort of places particularly their Conferences (i.e. place for face to face with the volunteers who assist people seeking help in different ways) may also be able to assist with your request at little or no cost to you for the phone.

    Check it out.:)
