Where did it go?

This is something i havent seen before and i was wondering if anyone knows what is causing it. First of all, i run xp pro with service pack 1....no i didnt update to sp2, i kept putting it off now it doesnt offer it to me anymore and i cant seem to even down load it from microsoft..hhhmmmm? anyway, if i go to my control panel and go to users there is nothing there, the same goes for my network places and my search tool under my start button, they are just blank windows...i cant seem to figure this out. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would this be due to the service pack not being updated at the end of october? It seems as though thats when it all started.

installing sp2 would certainly cure that problem.
i just had ms send me a sp2 disk.

 

I cant even download sp2 from microsoft for some reason.

 

is there any other place that anybody knows of that i can get sp2 besides there site? theyre customer service stinks, i told them there site will not let me download it or order it. they told me to try to download it again, if it didnt work call back an order it!

 

If you use any kind of file sharing program, you can get sp2 off the 'net.

The Very best way to Install SP2 is to do this from a Fresh Brand New Install of Windows

If you been running only SP1 your Windows is probably full of crap could be related to your inability to download it
I suggest save any important data, then Format & Reinstall then install SP2 without delay

You Might try downloading it here, you will have the Option to save to the location of your choice as opposed to just installing like from the MS update page
