Where exactly is this font?

And no its not in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts

I'm on XP Pro SP2

The font is called System. I can see it in AIM (its used in my profile), I can see it in Photoshop, but I can't see it in my video editing programs. I use to be able to access this font everywhere on my old computer. I need this font specifically because its official font for my media group.

 

strange indeed. it's similar to tahoma and a few others, though not an exact match.

this isn't your average font because when scaled up, characters become more and more pixelated. you could try to identify it..i'm curious about this now, too.

WhatTheFont came up with this. Trying to get it somehow.

 

Even this program MainType can't find out where its coming from. I'm pretty sure its in some dll somewhere. The question is what one.

 

it looks pretty close to fixedsys...

 

but it's not.

it's from a series of hidden 8514sys*.fon files. very strange though, i wonder if these can be converted to .ttf somehow :confused

 

Maybe do a Search for vgasys*.fon. This will find a few more sys*fon's.
