9. When the building in Oklahoma City was bombed? (4/19/1995) Working, but someone heard about it and we turned on a TV.

11. When Bush was first announced President? (11/7/2000) Home, hoping it wasn't true.

13. When terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center (9/11/2001) Driving to work, where I immediately joined everyone else in front of the TV (we were loading in a show with about 45 people from NYC, it was a tough time).

12. Was in bed when the first tower was hit. (Didn't start work until 11:30 then.) A friend called me about it in time to see the second tower get hit live. Watched coverage on TV until I had to go to work, listened to it on radio all day. Was a very quiet day at work. Aviation industry was knocked flat.

13. Driving to work. The announcer said a plane had crashed into the WTC and I remember thinking that some tourist in a Cessna or something got too close. Man, was I wrong. That was a very hard day to work.

6. When Jim Henson died? (5/16/1990) I didn't hear about it right away. I remember learning about it when the Symphony played a memorial concert on the Park green during their weekly summer series. They played all the muppet themes.

9. When the building in Oklahoma City was bombed? (4/19/1995) I saw it on the news when i came home from school. It made me cry.. those poor kids.

11. When Bush was first announced President? (11/7/2000) Watching the Daily show. It took so long everyone was just kinda waiting for it to end. I remember thinking, "oh great..."

13. When terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center (9/11/2001) I was in the civic center, trying to get PA, and I was in the elevator with the Mayor and his Aids, while they decided whether or not to lock down the building. I saw it on the news in the main hall a few minutes later. It was before the last plane fell and everyone was waiting to see where it would go, before those brave people brought it down in PA and sacrificed themselves.

1. In 3rd grade classroom, we were going to get the afternoon off to go see him at the Capitol (I grew up in Austin, TX).
