Where's Notepadx On My Computer?

Hi! I recently downloaded NotepadX to my WIn11/64 laptop. Now, I have a batch file that helps me create code files to print out so I can study them off the computer. The batch file, after creating the new file, opens it in Notepad so I can edit it and include only what I want printed out. Notepad stopped working properly, so I want it to open the file in NotepadX instead. I looked for it in both my Program Files folders and didn't find it. Where is it on my computer?

If you have the latest build it will be in:

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\27879SnkeKhn.NotepadX_1.7.43.0_x64__xq0nh4s6cn4qe\NotepadX.exe

That won't help you though if you wish to have it automatically open as a notepad replacement, as the WindowsApps folder is inaccessible.

Can I open it from a batch file? I can use Open With... to open it from Explorer but want to open a file directly from a batch file.

I tried it, and NotepadX worked. Thanks. :)

Uhh...NotepadX won't open with the desired text file when fed it with the file on the command line from a batch file. How do I do that?

Also, when I open a file from a flash drive, it sometimes says the file is locked and read-only. I can rename the file but don't want to.

Use an app that has that functionality, like Notepad++

I have Notepad++. It is good for source code but overkill for simple text files. Is there any other text editor I can use?

I downloaded some. Thank you. :) BTW, do you have a recommendation for Win98 with a small hard drive? I want it to fit compressed on two floppies.

All the Win 98 computers have left the building a long, long time ago! It was not one of my favorite OSes and I wasn't sad to see them go.

I also threw out most of the floppies. I wasn't sad to see them go either.
