Which IM?

Have been using Trillian for years but it seems like it takes an awful long time to load anymore. Uses a lot more resources than it used to too.

 

I'm using trillian right now, it's working great and using 5.5megs of ram. Although I'm still using trillian pro 2.0 since I had issues with 3.0. The MSN network also gives a lot of grief sometimes, but then again it gives me problems if I try with the actual MSN client sometimes too.

The only other real alternative is GAIM, which just had a new release, I've been meaning to check it out again but haven't gotten to it just yet. I do use it when I'm on linux though, and it works great there.

 

New GAIM is nice. There's a plugin for it that will show your current iTunes song in your profile.

 

I'm with Halo here, I use MSN 7.1, very good it is too Shame the network has been having some problems recently.

 

I use yahoo as it will show your launchcast song on your profile. Have been after an MSN plugin which would do the same, but as i use the beta 7.1 and the only plugin for msn that i can find will only work with Messenger Plus 3, which isnt compatable with 7.1.. im kinda stuck.

Used to use trillian.. but never had it on this pc. Would imagine it has to be better on resouces that running msn n yahoo at same time tho???

yah guys... the anwser is GAIM..... it is the bst thing in the world. doesn't matter what OS, just get gaim.

I have this set i cal the trio....

Firefox+Thunderbird+Gaim = GG noobs

 

What I like about Trillian is, I can chat with peeps who are on MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM all at the same time, and use less resources than trying to use all of these at once.
