Which internet is right?

    Hi everyone, I have Sbc Yahoo Dsl, which is 1200/300-400, I think it's time to upgrade, to cable. I'm thinking about this offer:

    6Mbps High-Speed Internet: Cable Customers offer, or the 8Mbps offer...

    I don't really know much about internet speeds, so do you think 6Mpbs is a significant amount of speed? I play online games, I need 'good' ping.

    If my research is right...... 6000/378 is basically what the 6Mpbs is, right?

    Other suggestions about ISP are welcomed. Thanks, Cheers :)
