Which is better?

    Could someone please tell me which is better for spyware detection?: Spybot or Adaware....and Why?

    actually they both seem to catch different things... as such I use them both very regularly....

    Never heard of Spybot till now. Thanks. I'm gonna give it a try. I can even download it from here.

    I agree with Mastertech.

    also, if you can afford to upgrade to Adaware Pro, its Ad-Watch does a similar thing to Spybots Immunize feature, by blocking adware/spyware from being downloaded to begin with.

    using both leaves little room for junk to slip onto you hard drive.

    Generally, spyware isn't so destructive that it must be removed immediately. It's an annoyance and a privacy invasion, but it won't destroy your data like a trojan or a virus will.

    You can run both, but I don't see much benefit beyond warm fuzzies.

    i like ad-aware best. but the shit thing is that you have to pay for better preformance!!
