Which one is better?

BitDefender or AVG?

I accidentally got them both installed and have to get rid of one.

Just want to be sure I keep the best one since I have been having virus problems.

I have never used BitDefender, but have recently started using AVG and I think it's great. I made the switch from norton(hated it). It's easy to use and doesn't have all that extra crap like norton did.

AVG is probably the strongest antivirus software in the free category. In some instances, i've seen it find things that other pay for antivirus programs couldn't find. I, as well as everyone else so far, think it would be in your best interest to use AVG!

for detection purposes, i like bitdefender 9. but it's a BIT sluggish. AVG is good though, has only let me down once. I use nod32 nowadays.
