I would go or the AMD but see if you can get a bigger memory on the graphics card, imo the ATI 300 isn't up to that much as a 128mb. Go for a 256 and you're looking at a seriously powerful setup.

Let us know which you go for for. :)

Thanks man, why the AMD over the Intel? And is this as good a spec as it looks on paper?

The AMD is probably better because of the integrated gh3y chip. :p

Good luck with the horse power.

bar far the 4200x2 it will outperform the intel in single applications and when using multiple apps the dual cores of the amd are much powerful than intels hyper threading which emulates a dual core cpu

    Yes the AMD is better.

    Just a small question.

Does that mean two 250gb disks?

although i'm an intel guy  i'd still choose the amd setup. one thing though all that power but only an ati x300? might consider an x700 or nvidia 6600 . both good middle of the road cards :)

The AMD! For me they are the only company that make CPU's :). I have had intels in the past but I think they spend to much on advertising and not enough on the products! Only my opinion!

Im also an ATI lover so I love the double A setup! (As you can see from my sig).

yea, i don't hold much stock in those cards either. never seen them perform, unless you're just doing word processing type stuff then they should be OK. but then you wouldn't need half the power those rigs will get you.

AMD looks good! both systems look very underpowered on the graphics front though, considering the rest of the system specs.

Guys thank you so much for all your help. I too am an AMD lover and am so happy to read all these comments. I will try to get it without a graphics card and go buy my own. Absolutely Awesome People, my mind is made up!!! ;)
