I currently have a Nvidia Riva TNT model 64 32meg

My computer is a Compaq Presario 5BW250 w/ 700MHz Celeron - 192 megs memory. No AGP only PCI.

Which one should I get? Or is there a better one for as cheap?

    PNY Geforce2 MX400

    or

    ATI Radeon 7000 PCI 64meg

    Thanks,
    Mike

Thanks Strogg. I was leaning towards the PNY. I guess I was just wondering if Nvidia is better than Radeon.

why are you deciding to upgrade? what are you hoping to do? :p just curious.

the best PCI video card (not saying much...) is probably an GeForce FX5200 or an ATi Radeon 9200, but since you dont seem to be interested in gaming, a GeForce4 MX440 should do the trick, as Strogg suggested

It's an MX400, but it's still quite a bit better then the 7000. It has TnL, if you get the newest drivers, it has better memory optimizations stuff... You still won't be able to play anything newer then 2001 with it tho.
