    Using the Easeus todo free version;

    I need help/suggestions about this scenario (new HP computer) !??

    I'm looking at the Easeus todo backup window and it ask me 'what' do you want to backup -- it's asking me to check off the different box's;

    Disk 1
    system *: NTFS capacity 100mb-- used 29.82mb-- sys active-- primary

    THEN right below that:

    OS C: NTFS capacity 920gb-- used 30.50gb-- boot-- primary

    And then the recovery partition (of which i'm not backing up at this point).

    My question is --- would I backup both the system partition and the C: boot partition or What ??
    I've never run across this before and if I backup both.... what would I pick if I had to do a re-store??

    THIS explains what the 100mb partition is about. You should always include that, along with your OS partition, in all images. You have no need or use for the recovery partition so that can be omitted.

    When using an imaging program it is best to partition your drive and move all your personal stuff off the OS partition. This keeps your images compact. Data is best backed up some other way rather than through infrequent images.

    Then I'll leave the 'sys' 100mb partition alone and just backup the OS C: boot primary partition.........right?

    You should always back up the 100 MB partition along with your C: Partition to avoid boot problems.
