White Screen on Bootup

Hi,

This is getting kind of worrying, when i start up my computer it loads up, the screen just goes pure white and nothing happens on the screen,

i turned the screen off then back on, and it showed the login screen


so to get rid of the white screen i have to turn the monitor off then back on and log in every time :-\

any ideas? confused

What happens when you boot in Safe Mode? Right when you power up the PC, repeatedly press F8 until you see a Windows Boot Options menu; the top choice will be Safe Mode. Choose it and boot into Windows and see if the screen problem still happens. If not, then we know it's a driver or it's the video settings in Windows (refresh too high for example). If the same things happens, then it may be time to get a new display

right, started computer up,

screen fades into blue pattern (like burnt blue paper)

then fades into red (like burnt red paper)

then multicoloured lines go down the screen, and nothing else happens


after messing around with the monitor in different ports, i pluged the monitor in the same port, (gfx card port) and it worked fine, (for now)

my refresh rate is set to 75, if i set it to 70 the sharpness of text and images is lost (makes it blured)

i installed the official drivers and they also make the text and images blured
