who is gog

Hi. anybody have any experance downloading games from ( GOG.com) ? Sounds to good to be true.

 

GOG.com is the exception that proves that rule. The games are truly 100% DRM free and with no geo-restrictions, and they are one of the few digital distribution companies left that still come across even to a cynic like me as if they genuinely care about their customers. Which of course is a brilliant business strategy.

I grabbed 3 of them.

 

They had Empire Earth free as a 48-hour special Monday and Tuesday as well. I grabbed it.

A couple of months ago, GOG discovered that one of the games they offered had traces of DRM still in it, and as a result it was broken and the gameplay gimped (it's a racing game, and some races became impossible to win). They took it off the site, posted an apology in their news feed, and gave everyone who had bought the game an in-store credit for the full amount. Little thigns like that is why I like them. They didn't have to do that, no one would ever have known, but they did it anyway. And the now have very rabid and loyal fans all over the internets.
