Who's in charge of MajorGeeks automailer program?

The MajorGeeks automailer is still using the old forum address as in:
http://[B]forum[/B].majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=93435&goto=newpost
I think it should be changed to:
http://[B]forums[/B].majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=93435&goto=newpost
so that I can just click the link in my email and arrive in a timely manner at the reply. Anybody?

hmm i dont mean to hijack your thread but this has to be asked too i was wondering about this when i view threads or the main forums page or the sub-forums this is what i see

is this how it is suppose to be?

 

I have a feeling there is a heck of a lot of work going on (more than usual) behind the scenes right now. Bear with the owners and Admin through these modifications

 

That is the MG address alright and will get you to the correct thread and post. My issue, is with the subscriber automailer script/program that issues notification via the users home email address. It's obviously just an oversight, because a server move is non-trivial and all hands were probably busy at the time. Once one of the MajorGeek major geeks gets wind of this, it will be fixed quickly. Until it is fixed you'll get this message when you click the link in your email:

By now, everyone knows that flushing the DNS cache won't fix a mis-addressed link.

MY EMAIL NOTIFICATION:

My solution was to insert an "s" after "http://forum" and voila => presto chango ******** correct link.

I admit confusion. I followed the link you posted and it took me to the main page. But getting to the main page is not the topic of this thread, rather the topic is the e-mail notifications, what one can do about those not working. If you want to get to the main page, you just put majorgeeks into google and click in through the forums listing, about the third one down.

I looked at whether my e-mails are going to forum or forums. That change has already been made. It just isn't working where I am.

My sympathy to the guys behind the scenes. Fortunately, you're dealing with a lot which is here because it likes to fix things. And people who like to fix things are generally patient people.
