why cant i reinstall my game

ok im so frustrated with this retarded game i had the sims 2 and i was doing fine with it but now i cant play it bcuz i uninstalled it and i cant reinstall it i tried but when it come to it it gets to 13% and stops and says cannot copy file so and so into media and it does it every time now ive just recently erased everything on my computer from recovery disks and everything was off my computer and i still could install it it says the same thing and i dont know why if anyone has any ideas as of why it keeps saying this please help me im dying to play lol

 

First u might try reinstalling drivers for cd rom...then try it..if no luck then i think the cd is damaged somehow.
