Yes the possible cause if you are using the webpage access fof these accounts is that if you run a cleaner like CCleaner or IE8 to delete yoru browsing temps and cookies, this looses the logon information.

Plus to view and quickly connect to multiple Hotmail, MSN and Live accounts via your browser is to install the Windows live ID Sign-in Assistant (it does come as part of the Live Applications pack but you can customise your install to remove many of the components and just grab the ones like live ID you want) Note: that when you have live ID installed you mist enter your email address and password then click the Remember my Password box and it will once you goto Hotmails main page list all the acccounts you can use (see screenshot at the link earlier)

or if you dont need to connect via a browser to access your mail as in Hotmail, MSN and Live, have you ever thought of using Windows Live Mail client to access all of these? (its the way I access them all)
