Why do I keep receiving emails from a blocked sender?

I'm using Outlook Express 6. I've blocked about 3 different senders by checking the box "mail and news messages". But I'm still receiving emails from them. Anyone know why and how I can correct this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

The sender is using the same name but different email addresses?

Each sender is using same name and same email address.
But I just noticed I didn't get one from them today, the first time! And I started blocking them about 5 days ago.
Will post an update tomorrow...in case I do receive another from them later.
    Thanks.

what happens to the messages from the blocked sender? Does Outlook Express automatically put them in the Deleted Items folder?

No. They were in my inbox. Still haven't received any today that I've blocked.
    :)
    Thanks.

Well, I just received another one!
I clicked reply, copied the email address, went to add it to block senders list,
and my pc told me they were already in the list.
I ended up sending a reply stating that they are now on the brink of harrassment, and if it doesn't stop, I will seek legal advice.
Any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks.

The reply to address is not the sent from address. You need to check the header info to see if there is different information in there.

Who is the host of your email? Do they have any additional filtering? Our office email lives at a hosting company but I can go in on webmail and see much more header information and block (or bounce) it at the server level much more effectively.

I just did what you suggested handygal.
Will update by the end of tomorrow.

    Hi

If the emails are spam in nature, dont reply to them as the spammer account user will now know that your email address is live (same and never bounce emails back for same reason) and they will sell it on the open market to other spammers.

In Outlook Express 6 you could start using spam filtering and to do this the info is HERE (their are some apps that can do this for you and one is Spamfighter and its free)

Like Handygirl mentions the email could come from a different source and just looks as if its from the same person/s, spammers are crafty buggers at times, which is why I tend to suggest that users update from OE6 to a newer email client such as Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird as they have better filtering capabilities.

    Hi Seeair,
I had similar problems one time.
I complained to my hosting providers, not once but twice after a bit of quiet then it rehappenning again.
They escalated my problem to level 2.
    I hardly get junk now.

May be worth your while not to check boxes that state getting e-mail from third parties when signing up for advertising e-mail or mailing lists in general.

Webmail have more options I agree with |HandyGal and these should always be seen as your first defense against SPAM however the likes of Outlook Express do make mailing a lot more convenient.

Two services I have never had to use are below if you want to take the matter further wihout going legal which I doubt will get you far anyway.
