why do most people, who have the option of using firefox, still use ie?

Why don't you answer these questions and maybe somebody can help you.

OH yeah, I see them (they're starting to SMIRK at me). Everything looks exactly the same. When I click on anything here (Standard Editor) the page itself will JUMP to the top of the frame (if that makes sense) and leave where I was in the white box (typing my post).

It happens with the smileys, the B I U, etc., quote wrap, all those things. If I click on "more" it will pop up more smileys, etc. If I go down to "manage attachments" to upload something, when I click on it, it just sits there.

I did add a post and click on the "Post icons" and it added it to the post itself like it's supposed to -- so they work. Hmmmmm, strange things always happen to me here at MG.

Wierd...I'm not sure if this can even be changed on this board, but do you have these options showing in a small box at the bottom of the MG pages in your Firefox browser?

Yep, that's me and my situations all right. How else do you think I got over 1,000 posts here?

Yes to all of them. I haven't changed anything. I even went from "Guided Mode" to "enhanced Mode" but that didn't matter.

I like to live dangerously :D

questions like that lead onto questions like why do people use MS windows.. when they moan about its security issues, they could venture onto Linux?

BTW I use Opera most of the time & IE6 SP2 when I need to or click wrong desktop icon.

I went and checked that everything looked normal in my User Control Panel.

I'll PM one of the admins about it. Abby Sue had to come to my rescue when my posting was screwed up before.

Thanks everyone. I'm still open to ideas *** "curiouser and curiouser" ****

I'll go see if I can actually go and help someone who has a real issue (major geek guy in hardhat goes here)

Gasp -- How can you make mistakes like that? Halo, come on now. Be careful where you click, man. A click is a terrible thing to waste.

What version of Firefox are you using? A quick browse at www.vbulletin.com turned up several smilie/vB code issues with version 0.9, I didn't look too deeply into it though.

Yes, I realize that. I was checking to see if Pegg's settings were the same.
