Why is there no RPG games for the computer?

These types of RPG games where very popular in the 90's. And with improved 2D and 3D graphics we have now I wonder why no one is making games like this for the PC running windows ?

 

Because they are better. Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Planescape:Torment, The Witcher,... and the list goes on.
