Apparently he isn't either. You need to read the link where his theory and assertions are debunked. ;)

Getting smarter is sometimes just 1 click away. :-D Not for the click happy ones though as these ones would end up in your lap. ;)

Well I made a solar panel array when I was younger '29':-D And it was poor, only enough juice to light a small LED and that was when I took it outside in bright sun so it was pretty useless:-D

I think he's smarter than me even at that age as I have an ugly bunch of mini solar panels glued together which it just sits on the shelf gathering dust and he has a nice Tree:)

PS. @ OMA knowledge is one click away not more smarts,I know crawl back into your cage rikky and stop being a smartarse,O.K.

Firstly, obviously it's an outstanding effort for a high school science project. Strangely enough, I tinkered with similar ideas, back in the 70's, when solar cells were new and exciting. Unfortunately, the efficiency and pricing also sucked pretty hard in those days, also.
The trouble with the 'tree' structure theory is - yes, there are always some solar cells facing, or partly facing the light source, (sun), but conversely, there are always some solar cells facing away from the light source - so no real overall benefit over a well placed static array. Of course, a light source tracking array will solve this problem at the expense of a little power to drive the said array.

Smart is as smart does. If you learn from your mistakes you are smart. If you keep walking into the French doors when they are shut, you are probably Canadian.
