My internet keeps dropping on my PC a Compaq
    Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G645T @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
    16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
    Ethernet: Qualcomm Atheros AR8152 PCI-WE
Wifi: Realtec RTL8192EU LAN 802.11N USB

With both Ethernet and Wifi my internet keeps dropping out and Windows diagnostics always fails to find the problem. If I shut down the PC and restart it works for a while then drops
I've tried changing the Ethernet cable
I disabled Ethernet and put the Wifi adapter next to the Modem/router via a USB extension cable which worked for a while but still dropped out.
Internet works fine on my phone and Roku box without problems so I doubt if its caused by my modem
Since Win 10 diognostics is no help I'm wondering if someone can recommend good software (preferably free) that will work better
    Thanks

Have you tried Device Manager?......On the PC, expand network adaptors, select your NIC and make sure the 'power save' option is unchecked or disabled.

Thanks, I'll try that and see how it goes

I tried as Replicator suggested but the problem is still ongoing

This is always a tough issue without knowing your layout and what you do with it.
It sounds NIC related on the local machine, or perhaps something in 'settings'.
Especially if other devices can connect without drop.

Can you try right click disabling the NIC in device manager, and then re-enable with reboot?
    Any change?
I assume that the driver is up-to-date?

I tried searching for Atheros AR8152 PCI-WE and found nothing. Everything seems to point to Atheros AR8152 PCI-E instead. As far as I can see, there are no Windows 10 drivers. The card works with Windows 7 and below. Did the Compaq come with Windows 7?
Have you considered getting a new card? One that is compatible with Windows 10.

Searching for this RTL8192EU, here is the driver from 2018

Perhaps downloading and re-installing will fix the disconnection issues.
