    Hello,
So I like to keep my Mother's laptop clean and tidy with teamviewer but alas her wifi internet connection is down.
No connection available. From what I can gather the router is flashing as normal but the wireless connection icon on her Windows 10 taskbar is not showing the connected icon.
What would you suggest I ask her to do?
Should I get her to open the device Manager/Network adapters/Right click 802.11n wireless card and choose uninstall followed by reboot? Should She delete the driver software for this device before rebooting or leave that box un checked?
    Thanks for your help.
    Kind regards,
    s.

Is it showing a wireless icon but not connected, or no icon at all? Does she have a cable she could use pro tem?

The trouble about the contact is that My Dear Mother is terrified of the laptop. Speaking on the phone means only one hand is free to touch the keyboard and so my instructions have to be incredibly clear.
Everything was working perfectly up until yesterday. But today her email wasn't working and when she tried to connect to Teamviewer she was informed that she wasn't connected. I asked her to tell me what icons were next to the time/date on the taskbar. 'Talktalk not connected' was what came back to me. I will have another go in the morning but I thought I would ask for suggestions to get me ready.
I could certainly wire it up but would prefer to sort it with simple instructions over the 'phone and not drive 220 miles.
    Thanks for the input,
    s.

There have been network problems in the UK the last 24 hours which have affected TalkTalk - thank you BT! Tell your mom to get a good night's sleep and it should be ok in the morning.

All about turning the router off and then switching it back on. Not easy to find stuck under the desk and wrapped in wires.
    All is sorted.
    Thanks,

Next time you visit why not connect a cable too and leave both connections running?

Less is better... The idea of more wires wouldn't make her smile. It's one step at a time for my Mum. At least She now knows how to turn a router off and back on again.
    Best wishes,
