WIFI Shuts off

In the last two weeks my D-Link DWA 160 wireless adaptor, has shut off 4 times.
I have to manual turn it back on, in network settings. what could bee causing this gliche.

Windows 10 Pro (x64)
Asus essentio
A8-5500 APU HD Radeon graphics
Poss, 3.2 GHz
12 GB Ram

Hi

Is this while you are using it on the web, or have you let your PC go to sleep or left it on for say longer than 30mins+ and come back to it not working?

If the second part then USB tend to go into save power mode and is a PITA to resume, while your PC will USB wifi is temperamental at times, so what I would try is to go into Device Manager open up the properties of your wifi adapter and click Power Management and untick "allow Windows to turn off this device to save power"

You could also go into Power Options and click Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced power settings and under wireless adapter settings (if available) choose max performance

Reboot and test

You are exactly right DavidGP, it is the 30+ min. thing. I unchecked that box and that sould
take care of that problem.
