Will Microsoft Silverlight make my Photoshop compatible with Windows 7?

My Photoshop quit working when I made the switch from XP to 7, which I never would have done in the first place of the [censored] at Microsoft didn't quit supporting XP :banghead Now I'm wondering if my old Photoshop program can come to life again if I download Silverlight or am I just wasting my time with it?

I don't think Microsoft Silverlight will make any difference. Try installing and running Adobe Photoshop in Compatibility Mode.

I gave Silverlight a shot, it's as worthless as Microsoft made my ****ing Windows XP! :banghead

Installing a framework you didn't need is not Microsoft's fault.

Nothing in Photoshop is written in xaml or even .NET, so Silverlight would of course be a complete waste of time.

That would be like installing Flash to make a desktop app work. These are web-oriented frameworks. They are not used for desktop apps.

Silverlight has nothing to do with Photoshop a all, it maybe a requirement for Adobe Premier but Photoshop does not deal with flash animations. The issue is likely your version of Photoshop and what is it?

To needing to re-install it, possibly as mentioned if an old version of PS in compatibility mode. http://www.adobe.com/support/OScompatibility.html

While you can blame Microsoft for a number of things if PS worked in XP then didn't in W7 then this is an Adobe issue, likely version is not compatible
