    Hi & Merry Christmas,
My father in law bought me a 5.1 surround sound system for my computer but I don't seem to be able to get the rear speakers to work. Will my Soundblaster PCI128 sound card support 5.1 or do i need a new one. I have 3 jack ports in the back of the sound card but wouldn't have a clue what they mean and the colour coding on the speaker leads doesn't match that on the sound card.

If you only have 3, then I would say no. I have a Sounblaster Audigy 2ZS wich have 6, and my 5.1 surround system take up 3 ports by itself. I would imagine yours would have 1 port for Microphone, 1 for Audio In, and maybe one for a sub....say a 2.1 system or something. I would suggest getting a new card. They are running very cheap now-a-days.

That card is 59.99 (34.99 after rebate) plus it comes with free 2nd day shipping.
