Win 10 Backup Disk Failure.

Had problems with my PC and used windows disk image tool to reinstall win 10 and now all working OK
Have tried to make a Backup in case of further problems in the future with system image tool but it has failed at the end with the message:-

"The backup failed
New bad clusters were found on the source volume, these clusters were not backed up"
(0x 8078007D)

Any ideas how to fix, thanks.

What is windows disk image tool ?
The only Windows 10 recovery on my PC is on RECOVERY DRIVE D (entered as purchased) which I have used successfully albeit the factory version 1903.
I had then to wait for Windows updates for versions 1909, 2004 and 20H2.

 

System imaging is available in Windows Backup

 

You could try the built-in CHKDSK /R. Needs to be run 'As Administrator'

 

If using Windows own backup feature then this is being removed & even Microsoft say to use third party software.

CHKDSK or a standalone disk-fixing utility only. If it will fail then all other counter-measures will also fail almost inevitably, too.
